During ruqyah, some patients experience reactions — crying, trembling, yawning, or in rarer cases stronger episodes. This page explains what is normal and what requires care.
Mild reactions (normal)
- Crying, sighing or emotional release.
- Yawning, drowsiness or a feeling of heaviness.
- Heat or cold sensations in parts of the body.
- Temporary worsening of symptoms after the first session.
Stronger episodes
Some patients experience trembling, shouting or involuntary movement during recitation. The practitioner is trained to manage these episodes calmly: continue or pause the recitation, ensure the patient's safety, and never restrain them aggressively.
After the session
- Rest and drink water; the body can be drained after strong reactions.
- Continue the prescribed adhkar — protection is ongoing.
- Report anything unusual to your practitioner within 24 hours.
- Keep medical appointments; ruqyah never replaces medicine.
