Therapy

Ruqyah therapy is a structured process: assessment, recitation, follow-up. Understanding the process removes fear and helps the patient cooperate fully with the treatment.

What a session looks like

  • Assessment — the practitioner listens to your history and symptoms before any recitation.
  • Recitation — ruqyah ayats and duas are recited over you, with pauses to observe reactions.
  • Guidance — you receive practical instructions: adhkar, lifestyle adjustments and follow-up steps.
  • Follow-up — progress is tracked; sessions are repeated only as long as they are genuinely useful.

How to prepare

  • Perform wudu and wear clean, modest clothing.
  • Abstain from music and major sins in the days before the session — the environment of obedience helps the treatment.
  • Bring a list of your symptoms and any medication you take.
  • Arrange for someone trustworthy to be present if you are a woman or a minor.

Conditions of a valid ruqyah

  • It must be recited in Arabic, from the Quran and the authentic Sunnah.
  • Both the one performing ruqyah and the patient must believe that the cure comes only by the will of Allah — the recitation is only a means.

Ruqyah alongside medical care

A condition may be an organic illness, an evil eye, or a jinn affliction. The first step is to consult trustworthy physicians and not rely on old reports, because some illnesses are hidden and diagnoses vary. At the same time, rely on Allah, repeat the shar'i ruqyah with qualified practitioners — never those who practise sorcery — and keep up the morning and evening adhkar.
